Can I eat before a yoga class?
No. You need to have a meal 1.5 hours - 2 hours before your class. If you feel hungry often, a small snack like nuts or a fruit is allowed 30 min -40 min before a class. The body is often twisted and turned during practice and these movements might bring your food back up. Not a pleasant feeling.
What do I need to learn yoga?
All you need is your body, mind, breath and a good mat. Wear comfortable clothes. Bring a towel to keep yourself dry and a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated.
What does practising yoga feel like?
Yoga is an ancient wholesome science of living. It is based on 8 limbs or ashtanga (written by Patanjali). One of these 8 limbs or anga is called Asana or Posture. These postures will bring your body, mind and breath together in a rhythmic form and bring your focus inward. As you begin to focus inward, you will feel more mindful, aware, in control and calm about yourself and your daily movements. Yoga brings about a transformation to your internal health. You will feel more balanced and blissful and thus, happier as you keep practising.
How much time does it take to learn yoga?
There is no time limit. Each person's body is extremely unique. Yoga does not judge how far you can bend or how tightly can you twist, it respects your body the way it is. Hence, each person takes a different amount of time to learn. The key here is consistency. Practice, practice and some practice. There is no competition. It is your own journey. Don't forget to smile and have fun along the way!
Is it actually good for working professionals?
It is the best!! Corporates today spend maximum of their time at work. With increasing pressure to perform and do well, 1 hour of class will do wonders for your company's employees. They will feel fresh, be more productive, feel healthier and less stressed. From back pains to constant tiredness, 1 hour on the mat solves it all.

What time of the day should I practice yoga?
Ideally, early morning to start your day. If that is not possible because your schedule and lifestyle, anytime before meals or before your go to sleep also works. It is important not to eat before you practice. Practising postures twists and bends your abdomen, you will feel very uncomfortable.
